Taku Iwasaki, Founding Partner of Blue Zone Group, combines hands-on operational leadership with deep investment expertise. A 17-year CEO of leading hospitality companies in Japan, he is known for driving performance, optimizing complex operations, and building high-value brands. Since 2002, he has led investments in 14 Okinawa assets—including eight resorts—totaling more than ¥60 billion. His background also includes senior roles at major international investment firms and board and investment committee service across 100+ companies. A bilingual Carleton University graduate, Iwasaki pairs global perspective with local insight to deliver sustainable, long-term results.

Michiko Arakaki, Representative Director, brings over 15 years of senior leadership experience at IBM Japan and Amazon Japan, where she led high-performing teams and complex, operations-focused initiatives. Her expertise spans finance, international securities, and global IT projects. An award-winning venture accelerator alumna and co-founder of Graatia Inc., she adds eight years of entrepreneurial experience. A law graduate of the University of the Ryukyus and MBA holder from San Francisco State University, Arakaki is also a business mentor and Ryukyu Shimpo columnist dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders.
